WOT Dreams He Can Jump Higher Than a Rabbit

WOT has become increasingly interested in Earth’s smaller creatures.

Many appear fragile.
Many appear harmless.
Several, however, possess extraordinary movement capabilities.

One such creature is the rabbit.

WOT first observed rabbits in open fields during the early hours of Earth’s morning cycle. Without warning, they would launch themselves into the air with astonishing speed and height, changing direction almost instantly for reasons WOT could not determine.

This caused WOT considerable concern.

According to his own internal calculations, his legs were not designed for such movement. His centre of gravity was unstable, his feet excessively rounded, and his body mass poorly distributed for leaping.

The rabbit, meanwhile, appeared to accomplish this effortlessly.

Following repeated observations, WOT began conducting private jump experiments whenever humans were absent. These tests reportedly included:

— crouching beside rocks
— spring-loading his knees with rubber bands
— attaching cardboard “aerodynamic fins” to his backpack
— attempting momentum-assisted jumps downhill
— and once, unsuccessfully, from the roof of a small building

No serious damage was reported, although several transmissions contain long periods of silence followed by the phrase:

“Recalibrating dignity.”

Dream Log #03 appears to have emerged shortly after these experiments.

In the dream, WOT launches himself high into the night sky while pursuing a giant rabbit across a frozen white landscape. The rabbit itself appears calm and weightless, almost as though jumping is less an action and more a natural state of being.

WOT, by contrast, seems intensely focused.

Recovered dream fragments suggest he believed that if he could jump higher than the rabbit, he might finally understand something important about Earth.

Researchers remain uncertain what this “important thing” was.

WOT later added the following note to the archive:

“Earth rabbits appear to trust the ground will still be there when they return.”

This is believed to be one of the earliest indications that WOT may have been thinking not only about jumping… but about belonging.
